I was looking for some pictures to put here... But then again, I remember I looked so bad when I met Blake for the first time that it's actually a good thing that I could not find any. In any case, what really matters is that exactly two years ago I saw Blake for the first time!!! We had been exchanging emails for a month or so, but it was not until 10 Sept. 2005 that I spotted him on a corner in Ipanema. It was a day we'll never forget.
I get a surprise call on Saturday morning...it's Blake! He'd arrived a day earlier than he told me (probably some sort of trick he was trying to pull...) and called to see what I was up to. To make a very long story short, Blake was lost (he missed his friend at the airport somehow), pretty much homeless (the friend had booked the flat and Blake had no idea where it was) and bag-less (his luggage was missing!) So I called my friend Dani and asked her to come along with me... What if Blake happened to be a freak? But he wasn't... :)
We had a fantastic group date at the Sugarloaf and less than a year later, on Aug. 19 2006 he proposed and on March 24 2007 we had our beautiful wedding in Rio!!!
I know it sounds corny and all but I do believe when people say God has plan for each one of us... There is a reason I am still here...despite the odds... And I am so glad and so lucky to be alive!!!! There is so much I want to do. I feel like I am only getting started.

Dani, you’re the most amazing person I have ever known. Our story...pretty unbelievable, especially since this is just the beginning. I can’t wait for the rest of our lives. Te amo muito, pra sempre.
